🚚 JQuad Truck Cap Topper Mounting Clamps (Set of 4) Review

I am extremely disappointed in these clips. I installed them yesterday. Driven maybe 10 km. and I took them off today so I can hook up the truck light to my truck's factory light. When I took it off, five of the six bolts had sheared off. I used the ratchet carefully. no rod breaker. so I know it wasn't me that forced her.

Works very well, lower profile than others I have a sleeper cab in my truck and these options are better than my old ones! I highly recommend using anti-seize material on the screw threads before reassembly. A steel bolt pulled into aluminum will rub and damage the yoke without it.

These clips fit me perfectly! They were very strong and reliable for the last 5,000 miles with an 8ft duvet. I highly recommend putting some blue Loctite on the threads when first installing as I've noticed that after about 2000 miles 3 bolts have come loose but there haven't been any safety issues with the bed cover. There shouldn't be any problems if you use a light threadlocker.

I always hesitate to buy stuff like this from Revain because I can't see or feel the quality at first. These clamps are top quality, very strong and strong. A quality full length threaded piece for tightening screws in the clamp body instead of most unnecessary clamps that thread in about 3/8" of the bottom edge. Bottom line: don't hesitate to buy these, I'm really picky about parts and they are great .

I was hoping that this clip would thread through the aluminum threads for extra strength, but just to clarify for anyone wondering the same thing, it doesn't. The thread length is .91", which is still very decent and offers a lot more thread engagement than the original. See the attached picture showing the unthreaded bottom.
