After trying this new gear, I was impressed with its durability and effectiveness in protecting my bike's derailleur. This protection is very well made, but it is too short (distance from the fall to the part where the guards drop vertically) to fit the two derailleurs I tried. I haven't tried it on a mountain bike derailleur and maybe it's different?

Whilst the component appears to be of high quality this part is advertised as suitable for Shimano applications but is not compatible with the Shimano Altus rear derailleur. This guard is too small and prevents full movement of the shifter to a higher gear (7). Let's get back to Revain.
