Perfect size - strong!

This is the best universal cable I have ever bought. Doesn't wear out, the size is good and very durable! Love it! Too bad I didn't pick up 2 packs when they were available.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Smells like a toilet

Yarn smells like a toilet! I'm not sure if I want to use it for cooking, but as a craft item it will do. I've removed the plastic wrap and am hoping the exposure to air will take away some of the smell.

  • Certified
Cons
  • Functionality

High Quality Butcher's Line

This is a very well made butcher's line. My slight dislike is that it's very thin and I want a larger diameter if I'm going to tie large chunks of meat. Larger pieces are ideal for poultry and sausages, as their diameter makes them a bit sharp.

Flesh Yarn: Hardware

This yarn works exactly how you hope it will. The more I use my pressure cooker and other kitchen utensils, the more I find a use for this yarn. So far, so good. He is soft but strong. Even so, I don't hesitate to update my reviews when new information seems useful.

Cons

You can rely on yarn!

I used this 3 ply material to attach the first roast to the skewer, after 3 hours it was still tight and there were no burned spots on the twine. I can't say that cheap cotton thread is softening the market. If you're serious about flipping meat or grilled foul, this is a winner!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not sure

The thickness of the thread is really 2 mm.

I like the color and that there is a lot for the price. He feels strong. But since I bought this butcher twine for crafting, I absolutely needed it to be 1mm thick as advertised. It's a lot thicker than 1mm and looks pretty solid.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some bugs

Does what it's supposed to do

This twine does exactly what it's supposed to do: hold food together while cooking. I've used it for various things including spiral steaks which have turned out great. A few tips: cut off more than you think you need, you can always make things shorter. Also, make sure to soak the strings in water for a few minutes before cooking to avoid burning them. Especially if you use lean meat.

Pros
  • Tarpaulin and ribbons
Cons
  • No instructions

Smells awful. Made in China. Don't think it's safe.

This thing smells awful. Butcher twine is meant to be used for food, so it should be food safe. It smells horrible, which I would take as a pretty good sign that he should never touch food. Also made in China, so I (like many pet foods) suspect it's not safe to touch anything you or your pet eats. It smells so bad I can't even use it for gifting. I do not recommend this product. I'll look for the US made version with "Food Grade" on the packaging.

A must have for every kitchen and tool/craft box

This is excellent food safe thread. The thickness is just right so it doesn't get in the way when cooking or baking, and big enough not to lose (it's hard to find). It's strong and durable and works as intended. I like that the spools are a bit smaller which makes them very easy to handle compared to the huge chunky reels. You get two (2) rolls for one great price. The string is an often overlooked tool. THIS STRING is great for groceries, projects and many unexpected uses. This is a must have…
