I didn't even read the instructions as other Revain reviews said they were terrible. So you turn this thing upside down (so all the text is upside down) and the sensor goes through an 11/32 inch hole that you drill at the top. The foam pad will cover this hole so make sure it surrounds this edge like mine did. loosens up a little. You drill 2 holes on each side that match the holes in the bracket that the 2 mounting screws (flat head for some unknown reason) attach to. I used a permanent marker
