Strongest drywall anchor ever

Rack. The manufacturer's estimate of 65 pounds is conservative, I've seen them handle 150 pounds or more with a single bolt anchor. Keep in mind that you should never install them in front of a hairpin or other obstacle. If you hit the bolt, it won't go all the way in or work properly. I always drill a pilot hole to check for a bolt. Over-tightening can break the head of the anchor, making it difficult to insert or remove. In the worst case, you may have to drill it out and start over with a…

Pros
  • Use a quarter or less of listed maximum safe working loads (per local codes)
Cons
  • Almost never

Working file, but I still recommend a small pilot hole.

I have a love-hate relationship with them. They are easier to install than regular cheap anchors and hold up better. But PLEASE do not use as a self-drill. I've destroyed many anchors and many walls believing that these plastic things can be installed with a screwdriver. You need to make a pilot hole. A major benefit I have found with this product is that the pilot hole size can be kept small and is a much more forgiving size than the exact size holes you have to use for traditional plastic…

That's great. I've never been a fan of garden variety.

This is amazing. I've hammered them out many times trying to get a tight fit, and after that they're almost impossible to close They are certainly stiffer than their counterparts and although I have even attempted to test self-drilling these anchors I can start with a very small pilot hole and it will drill and screw fine in. As I am concerned about that big holes are formed I'd rather work on fixing those holes later to use an anchor more reliable than the other usual ones in a longitudinal…

This is amazing. I've never been a fan of garden anchors. I've never had full faith in their work, and in trying to make them stronger I've often bent them by hammering them, and after that they're almost impossible to finish. stiffer than their counterparts, so while I haven't even attempted to drill these anchors myself, I can start with a very small pilot hole and it drills and screws in just fine. Be careful not to overdo it as the heads can be easily ripped off. As for concerns about large

Great anchor for drywall. You saved my marriage.

These are the best anchors I've ever used in drywall. I used A LOT. They (and their big SP brothers) fit securely into drywall, and the included screws can be inserted and removed without moving the toggle switch. probably screws) so as not to detach the drywall and let it rotate. I haven't had this with them before, but with other drywall anchors (metal and plastic) it happens regularly when I use a power driver. I also like that the included screws are deep, but due to the design of the…

Awesome but requires a bit of skill

It holds great, works great and is one of the best drywall screws I've ever used. I'm almost done with the whole package. It holds my heavy table lamp to become a wall light mounted on a hanging shelf (if you know what I mean!). And the plastic itself is strong but with some elasticity, making it more durable and not brittle, preventing the plastic clasp from breaking easily. But like all other common tools and gadgets that you can use, some skills are required. As some people say, it…
