The ratio of price and quality is very pleasing, I will repeat the purchase.

Used the lens mainly for architectural photography. This glass showed itself very well, it behaves especially nicely on the periphery of the frame, when I always had a lot of "soap" on the sigma, which always had to be covered up somehow (mainly by vignetting). Aperture 2.8 for this glass is an indicator of the class of the lens. As a rule, such lenses are made using a more advanced coating than dark optics. Although 2.8 is not particularly in demand, given the wide-angle nature of the optics…

Pros
  • Bought this lens to replace a Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 that served me well for many years. I found a very good option on ebay (the seller did not use it, preferring long-focus optics for photography, including I actually got new ones), at a very democratic price, which I was very pleased with. Optical characteristics are significantly higher than those of the aforementioned sigma, especially sharpness and more pleasant color reproduction. A convenient mechanism for switching to manual mode from automatic (which, in fact, is not in demand by me). Nice appearance.
Cons
  • Didn't notice any significant shortcomings. Unless, perhaps, the metal docking parts of the mount can be a little less clearly worked out, the sigma in this regard has impeccable quality. Slightly crooked elastic band on the case. But all this is nit-picking, which is completely offset by the positive aspects in working with this glass.

Valuable purchase, nothing but pluses!

There is not much to compare with, When shooting direct light sources, it catches hares, the working position remains only 16 I am 110% but not at his price in the secondary market.

The product suited me, I will recommend it to my friends.

They write that "the minimum focusing distance is 0.3 m" In my opinion, The unusual transition to manual focus mode takes some getting used to, In my opinion, you should not do this, Test image without processing:

Pros
  • Compared to other models, which can be considered almost a "fix". )) The distortion turned out to be less than expected, the chromate is moderate, which is a rarity and unconditional advantage for a width, especially since f2,8 things are also pleasant)
Cons
  • Of the negative points, I can name a very uncomfortable front cover, hares" in the backlight, but where to go, The rags are sorry! Shame on you gentlemen!

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

The best wide-angle lens for non-full-frame devices. The famous brand nikkor has not yet created an analogue to this lens. The tokina development team used to work on creating the famous nikkor lenses, then left the nikon manufacturers. I consider it the best wide-angle for entry-level cameras. it's a matter of taste. Its pros: High-quality, fast, sharp, very clear landscape shots at an open aperture, perfect for group photos, people, animals, architecture, monuments. Pretty good autofocus, 3…

A fairly high resolution even at an open aperture of 2.8 almost throughout the entire frame, and if you clamp it to 3.5-4 it is generally sharp as a razor) Rudeness was not noticed, distortion is present, but for such a wide angle of 11mm I think it is record low, which was a pleasant surprise. In general, I am very satisfied with the purchase, though it took more than a month to wait for the order, but it was worth it! I managed to save 700r because during this time it grew in price)) I have…

Pros
  • Aperture 2.8! New anti-reflective coating, SD-M ultrasonic AF drive, One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism. Sharp on open 2.8 almost all over the field.
Cons
  • So far undiscovered.

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

There is not much to compare with, but in itself an excellent lens. I bought cheap from the store. I rarely shoot landscapes and reports. Excellent sharpness and color reproduction. When shooting direct light sources, it catches hares, and there are several. It does not behave very well on ff cameras, the working position remains only 16 mm. Aperture saves when reporting, but it is better to place the subjects in the center so that they do not crook or bend. In general, I am 110% satisfied…

Pros
  • Very wide angle on DX cameras, fast focusing, sharp when shooting landscapes f8 for example, price (bought for cheap)
Cons
  • Hard to find, too small spread of focal lengths, bending the edges of the frame.

Bought this in my bag after a long search for the best f/2.8 ultra telephoto lens. I've considered the highly regarded Nikkor 35mm, 50mm wide open under f/2, the venerable Nikkor 10.5mm Fisheye, and some ultra-telephoto lenses like the Nikkor 10-24 due to its high recommendation on several photography forums. . I didn't consider the Sigma 8-16 because of aperture limitations. It was delivered the same day - thanks to my Prime membership (hooray!). I've never photographed the night sky. This…

Sharp, but there are disadvantages

I don't often rate a lens. Instead I took a picture comparing this lens to my other lens e.g. B. a 35mm prime lens and a Nikon 55-300mm. For me personally, the sharpness of a lens is the most important thing when deciding to buy a lens for my camera. Of course, I prefer to spend as little as possible and still get a nice, sharp piece of glass. I like it - sharpness, like my 35mm Prime when the aperture is between f3.5 and f16. Image quality degrades at every aperture below f3.5 and at every…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions

  • No performance

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X116 Pro DXII - Nikon D3200

I use this lens with Nikon D3200. I mainly photograph landscapes. First, if you have a DX camera (D3200, D3100, D5000, D5100, D7100, etc.) then you need this lens for wide angle. Believe me. I did a lot of research on Sigma, Tamron and others. I believe this is the best option for the money and the fastest. It is also partially compatible with full-frame SLR cameras. I needed a lens to replace the amazing 18-55mm kit and it passed the test! Sharpness: This lens is very sharp! I don't know how…
