Keep your mouth shut! on Tires & Wheels

A dependable replacement for OEM caps. These are high quality machined caps with a slightly larger overall profile than standard plastic caps. I also appreciate the rubber grommet in each cap to ensure a secure seal.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Clarity

DO NOT BUY. You can't remove it, you have to cut it off.

DO NOT BUY! All 4 are melted and stuck to the valve stems and cannot be removed. Purchased August 2019, once removed December 2019, now cannot be removed August 2020. I'll have to cut them off and hopefully not ruin the valve stems. WD40 didn't help.

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • No

Stem Valve Perpetuals = Costly Repair

I can't remove the caps and neither can the dealer. Now I can no longer fill the tires with air. Apparently mixed metals (aluminum caps and steel valves) can bond together. I tried WD-40, heat and pliers but couldn't get the damn thing off. My arms are throbbing and I'm getting blisters from using all my strength. The only option left is to damage the stem valve sensors, which cost $330 to repair. Should have stuck to the plastic. Big mistake buying them.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Bad Impression

Fraud alert - does not do the job

These tire valve caps will not fit. They are specifically designed not to work. They are too high making it impossible to catch the seal. They are unthreaded on the bottom so the seal never snaps. They claim to use an o-ring instead of using a thin coat of paint to make it look like a gasket. The painted seal is out of reach of the tire valve stem and therefore cannot be sealed. The chemistry of the road conditions binds the parts together.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Only available in black

One of four that has faded to silver blue silver after 2 weeks

Looks exactly like the picture. Sky blue with worn texture. From the envelope it looked great. But 2 weeks after the first wash, one of them turned almost silver. The other four still look great. Either it was a marriage in the process of final reporting, or the rest will fade with time. There is no problem with the lighting in the photo. In the first photo the cap is almost silver on the sides and after a few weeks it is light blue. The second photo shows a different cap, still perfect, like…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Minuses

No problem/ looks good

Does this go perfectly with my Scorched Orange & Black Denim? no But on wheels, at such a decent distance. It's perfect. They shine, crackle in the sun, but when it's dusty, it's tamed. My paint color is orange-red with gold flakes. These three colors resemble a mixture of colors, but are intensely orange, especially from a distance. These sunglasses look better on the bike than just in your hand. They feel flimsy and screw in like a little lube would help them screw in. But I'm also not…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some faults

Aluminum caps are not good for wet weather

I live in Michigan and in less than a month of winter they have seized my valve stems so much they had to be cut off. It ended up being about $80 to repair ($20 per wheel for a new stock plus reinstallation and balancing). I knew aluminum had corrosion issues with steel in wet weather, but I figured maybe not brass. I planned on replacing them if they ever rusted in place. But it went much faster than I expected. It can be safe if antifreeze or grease is applied to the threads. But for me…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Only available in white

I received the Sky Blue Caps on 04/24/2019 and by the end of May they were completely burned out in the sun. Badly anodized so be careful. I bought two sets because of the price and compared them on the photos. I contacted the seller but the message was in broken english and basically they were telling me the valve caps could still be used. I agree that they can still be used as valve covers, but they are a different color now and don't match the car aesthetically. They are cheap but in the end

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Almost everything ok
