Very good tool, best in Tools & Equipment

These parts do a neat and professional job of making custom spark plug wires. way better than those flimsy $15 and auto parts stores

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Expandable

Exactly what I was looking for

This die set was exactly what I was looking for and it matched my Ideal ratchet pliers perfectly. I was able to fix my old quad coil wires and also make new ones for my quad for parts on the trails.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Non automatic

Works great with 10.4mm Taylor wires

For crimping 10.4mm Taylor spark plug leads. I wasn't sure if this would work as the listing says 8-8.5mm. For the Taylor 10.4, remove the 8.5mm outer barrel where the crimping occurs. The cutter also does a good job of cutting the insulation down to the conductive core of the spill.

Pros
  • Great!
Cons
  • None

Worked exactly as it should. I have made .

Worked exactly as expected. I screwed up my first crimp so I'll consider it a "sample" crimp to find out, but luckily my wires had an extra end (if an external coil was used). I used this with a set of Taylor coiled core wires. Some people say the stripping part doesn't work well, but I haven't had any problems with it. Crimp it over the wire in the stripping portion of the jaw, then twist the tool around the wire and pull. Only a few remnants of the insulation had to be removed with a sharp…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Can't remember

you are doing great work Valuable update for my ToolAidCrimpers.

I drive a 1994 Daihatsu Hijet mini truck, Japan domestic market. You can buy plug cords for it. If you want to spend $90 for three connector wires and one coil wire. So I bought these to buy kits for the more common 6 cylinder cars when they go on sale and to make my own wiring for the Tiny Truck. used to use. So that was a big plus. I came across them while looking for a set of dies to fit my Crimea for Delphi WeatherTight connectors which are common on GM products. When you're launching…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Some faults

Good for crimping but no wire stripping

I bought these dies so my ratchet crimping tool can make some custom spark plug wires. The part of the jaws that squeezes the connector is fine. It took a few wires to perfect the "art" of it, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. They provide the perfect crimp required for end connectors. The area they bring down is that the cutting teeth should help strip the wire but not damage the core. First, they're sharp enough to cut through anything. Second, even at full compression, there is a gap…

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • disappears
