🔧 S&G Tool Aid 53908: High-Quality Adapter for Large Schrader Fuel Injection Pressure Testing Review

There is nothing wrong with the product except that it is not large, not suitable for GM vehicles. This is a standard paper shredder.

This adapter has an unnecessary proprietary Schrader connector that does not fit the standard adapter. It is for enterprise tools only and definitely not for general purposes.

Connected to 2 different fuel rails. The pressure is easy to read, but when I checked the volume, the flow was very low. Tried 1 more from someone else and the volume was ok. Inside the fitting is a rubber washer and a bent piece of metal that presses against the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. This piece of metal was badly bent. I had to salvage and modify 1 from an old adapter. Now it works perfectly.

Fits my Orion fuel pressure gauge purchased from Revain. Control port on standard GM engines, Saturn, etc. (7/16"-20, NF) The Schrader valve on the fuel rail control port does not depress. Compare to the tire pressure gauge). So you need to bleed the fuel pressure and then the Schrader -Remove valve on vehicle check.

I thought I'd upload some of the best photos for this article in case it helps someone. The male quick disconnect (gauge end) is made of steel and has a one-way valve. While I believe this to be the most popular version of the quick connector for fuel gauges, my ABW gauge (made in the USA) fits slightly different shaped fittings (brass, no valve, slightly shorter). The other end, of course, mates with the standard large Shrader valve fitting found on the fuel rail of some cars (GM and others).
