💨 1875W Tourmaline + Ionic Lightweight and Quiet Turbo Hair Dryer by Hot Tools Professional, Black (Model 1043) Review

I liked this hair dryer at first. . . powerful, multiple options for heating and speed, useful attachments. I used it about 3 times a week and was really amazed at how quickly it dried my hair. Less than six months later, however, the combined heat and power plant stopped working for no apparent reason. The "high heat" setting now only produces "medium" heat. For the amount of money I paid for it and for being a top brand it certainly should have worked properly for longer than it did.

If I could give 2 1/2 stars it would be more accurate. This is the second time I've bought this product (I love that the nozzle size matches my diffuser nozzle); While there are 3 temperatures (high, medium, low), the high seems to turn off after just a few months. You can actually hear the internal thermometer turning on and off. I can still use the dryer on medium/high speed and get decent results, but when I try to switch to high speed everything shuts down. I wash, blow dry and cut my hair every day. I don't use any other styling products, just a leave-in conditioner and I need a high/low speed, high/low heat blow dryer. This dryer has it all, but the controls are in a weird spot on the handle.
