Bought these as playground mats to keep the pebble in place under the swing and slide. They are strong and quite heavy - strong enough. Let them air out for a few days before use. They have a very strong chemical smell from the packaging.

The only problem I found is the section on two mats that looks like it's on the machine stuck and part of the top is missing. It's a small stain, but you still feel it when you walk on it and you can see it. There was also no mention that the mats are seconds. Carpets will work, just a little disappointing.

Bought these to use on our deck this winter as it is the main route between the house and the garage. Last year we tried using some kind of gritty sand and all I can say is that it's kind of a mess. It worked, but we've been tracking it internally. And it wiped the hell out of the stain. There is a strong smell.
