Worst kit I've ever had

Worst kit I've ever had. The grip is terrible, I finally needed the kit and spent so much time plugging the tire. The handles are slippery and hard to grab anything. I just threw the kit in the trash, save yourself the hassle and pay for the premium kit, this is an emergency item and shouldn't come cheap. I've added photos of how weak the metal is, it's bent!

Pros
  • Rugged finish

-0- stars. Couldn't rate! The product has been received.

-0- stars. Couldn't rate! The product received was very disappointing, the shipping packaging was fine. When the item was removed it appeared to have been previously opened with an open end of the manufacturer's cellophane wrapper, the box was dirty as if it had been stepped on somewhere in the warehouse and then slid back into the manufacturer's packaging. The plastic case was damaged on one corner, all items were present but the lube was definitely opened but not used. I ordered a similar…

Good quality Same as security seal

I have a local shop and I usually buy 4 of these sets a year for all the crews I have in the field. I've always bought $49 security seal kits just because I liked the quality. I've always been afraid to order these cheaper sets because you usually get what you pay for. However, this kit is an amazing deal. 1st impression: The plastic box seems a little less durable or hard than the Security Seal Kit (hereinafter referred to as SSK), but I didn't buy it for the occasion. Looking at the tools…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No machine gun

Can be difficult to use. Some useful tips...

These sets can be difficult to use. Journey with Charlie posted a great tutorial. I'd like to add a couple of notes to this: 1) This will be obvious to many, but to find a leak, spray the tire with soapy water and look for the blister. Charlie illustrated it but didn't mention it in writing. 2) As for the front wheel, you can work on it on the car if you turn the steering wheel all the way to the side and have an assistant slowly roll the car away from you while you check the tire. 3) The rear…

GREAT quality for the price. Although it's not a snap-on, it costs 1/5 more.

I give this product 5 stars because it is a very good tire repair tool kit for the price. Of course there is better quality that I rely on as an automotive professional but the cost is almost 500% higher. I bought this as part of my travel kit as I travel a lot as my sons both go to different schools a few hours from home. Having a well made, solidly constructed tire plug kit that works very well (especially for the price) is a smart move. I hook this up to a small 12 volt cigarette lighter…

How to close a hoop. With professional kit!

This is the most professional kit money can buy. The first thing I did was use one of the included hex wrenches to ensure all four socket head screws on both metal T-handles were tight. I've used it at least ten times. Easy to use, here's how: make sure the air pressure in the tire is at least 20psi as that works easier, then find a nail, screw or object and make sure it's leaking as in Photo #1 shown. Lubricate the tip of the spiral probe saw tool and set it aside so it's ready and you don't…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some imperfections
