NOT 6/7 speed derailleur

I used it on my 21 speed mountain bike. No matter how much I turn the low adjustment screw, it never goes into the lowest gear. Invalid ad. MUST NOT be qualified on 6/7 speed bikes. I was wrong, sure. Otherwise I would look for a 7/8 gear derailleur.

Pros
  • Rear derailleur
Cons
  • Not bad

The switch looks good but didn't fit me.

At first I was happy to find the same rear derailleur for my bike. During assembly, the screw holding the switch broke off. No matter how I tried to remove it with ease, it only got worse. Now I can't put screws there anymore. Now my bike broke down again because of a much bigger problem.

Pros
  • Parts and components
Cons
  • Some defects

The replaced RD-TY500 works great.

I have used this RD-TY300 derailleur to replace an RD-TY500 pulley and it works great! I also had to replace the shifter cable to make it longer so I had a rear loop (which the idler pulley doesn't have) but other than that it went through with no issues. Pros
  • Switches and shifters
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great bike purchase

At the start of the pandemic I bent this on my current bike and in my entire life I haven't been able to find one in my local bike shops. I was able to find it online here and it arrived in no time. The product is good, but I definitely had problems with the installation. I ended up having to take it to a bike shop to get it working. Unless you're mechanically inclined I would recommend having someone do the installation. Overall it's a good product and has held up well for the 100+ miles I put

Pros
  • Sports & Recreation
Cons
  • Hard to say
