Large selection of pipes, fittings and accessories

This is a great product and they will help you install it as easily as possible, but it still needs time. Works well and they send a lot of gear.

Pros
  • Can be laid in a spiral, criss-cross, straight, etc. No risk of overheating.
Cons
  • There are errors

It works once you get the hang of it (no thanks to poor documentation).

My first impression was that the heat is controlled by a sensor at the end of the cable. So I put it in an ice bucket to see if the cord got really hot. It's not after 30 minutes. So I sent it back and got a replacement very quickly (3 days). To test this, this time I also dipped the part of the cord closest to the outlet (the part with the obvious protrusion) in ice. When I did that, it worked like a charm. 1 star deducted because of the horrible documentation that doesn't tell what part of…

Pros
  • 3W/ft at 50F Lower temperature, higher performance. ETL approved.
Cons
  • Low maintainability

It's easy to fix a frozen RV hose.

Although using a hose is not recommended, this heater worked very well to keep my RV's fresh water hose from freezing and icing. I tied the coiled heater wire to the hose in a spiral, then covered the entire length with 1.50 inch ID foam black air conditioner foam insulation. I'm happy with the performance and the hose doesn't get hot. The amperage is also very small, so it consumes very little electrical power. If you're using this for the same reason as me, you'll also need to make sure you…

It does not work! for harsh installations

DID NOT WORK! We bought it to run shallow but semi-permanent tubing to the trailer so we didn't have to bury it deep (or at all in some places), but instead needed to keep the tubing from freezing. We've done a lot of research on the use of heating cable, including how it's installed and insulated, as well as how it works, and we've taken great care to get it installed correctly. Since we installed it we have had 20-30 days and/or nights where the temperature has been below freezing and if we…
