Works great - easy on/off, easy to mount to bike (multiple options)

I used a piece of closed cell foam to attach the light to my bike's stem with the included velcro . I just felt that the foam would hold the light in place better. Hopefully the light is bright enough to be the warning it's meant to be. Looking at it from 50 feet, I'm not sure if that's the case.

Pros
  • Lumen output - 4 cd
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Good light for the back of my helmet

Good light for the back of my helmet. Exactly what I was looking for. A small round red lens about the size of a US quarter. It comes with Velcro straps for attachment to a seat post, backpack or wrist. I use a flashlight secondary that has a neat clip and works in flashing mode. Hopefully Topeak is a reliable brand that justifies the rather high price.

Pros
  • Lamp - 0.5W ultra bright red LED
Cons
  • Slim

Good but not very good at sports

I was hoping for a really bright light like the Cygolight Hotshot. This light is good from dusk to dawn, but not bright enough in daylight for my liking. Fitting it to my NutCase helmet was a real hassle, so I got creative with some Velcro straps and set up a permanent solution. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 5. I will look for something else that is lighter and easier to apply. The price was the most attractive element.

Pros
  • Sport: Cycling
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Not what it should be

Being a Topeak product was one of the main reasons I decided to give it a try. It holds securely to the helmet but isn't very bright. It can be seen in low light but is barely visible in daylight. But the main reason for my bad rating is that I noticed a crack in the flashlight body while trying to replace the battery. (By the way, the battery lasted a lot less time than the packaging suggested.) I thought it might just be on the surface, but once I started taking the battery out, everything…

Pros
  • Molded plastic lamp body
Cons
  • Secret

Bright.Slim.Great Price

I bought this light for my new Smith helmet as my previous light was too big. The small size with a low profile and versatile attachment system (your choice of buckles or Velcro) made it the perfect choice for me. Since I've only used it on a couple of trips, battery life has yet to be determined. The only downside (mentioned in another review) is the on-off mechanism. Basically you click on the face of the light to change it from off to blinking. Sounds simple, but unfortunately it doesn't…

Pros
  • Ultra compact with super bright 0.5W red LED for excellent visibility. Easily attaches to helmet or any bag or rack
