I guess some people just can't follow the instructions. I removed the plastic wrap and left it on for 6 hours before putting the lid back on. Mine looks EXACTLY like the promotional pictures, the case is very thick. My dog took a while to get used to these because they aren't as stiff as some of the old ones he's had. His back thanks me.
