Description of Organic USDA Certified Parrot Food Pellets for Hookbills - Non-GMO, Peanut Soy & Corn Free - Ideal for Small, Medium, and Large Parrots

We use suggested bird sizes but you ultimately choose depends on both the size of you bird and what size food pieces your bird normally prefers. Generally, if you go a little smaller with the pellet size then you will have less waste. TOP's All Size Hookbills Pellets is best suited for large and medium parrots, such as macaws, amazons, eclectus and cockatoos. TOPs is the only non-corn based USDA Certified complete diet bird food. Most other competing brands use GMO corn as the main ingredient. We don't eat GMO corn and do not think your bird should either. Vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients for a happy and healthy parrot. Naturally preserved with Rosemary, Rose Hips, Lemon and Orange Peel. TOP’s outstanding pellets (4 lb) do not contain any fillers, like soy or corn, or BHA, BHT or ethoxyquin. We use only fresh, natural ingredients and avoid all artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, or sucrose/sugar. Measures 1/4" in diameter - Feed your companion approximately as much as they want each day, the pellets are cold-pressed to keep the natural nutrition intact.

Excellent granules: Food

I am trying these granules on my gray parrots. I've never fed them like this before. They start trying. They really love them and eat more and more of them!

Don't waste your money

Since cabbage is added to the pellets my birds don't eat it, they throw it out of the bowl on the ground. Waste of good food and money. I will not buy again.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Good but not great

Best in Birds

It has been two weeks since I received my TOP'S package and my 3 year old African Gray Obsessed. His transition was very smooth, he enjoyed the new TOP'S pellets. Will definitely buy again.

Best Parrot Food with No Chemicals or Artificial Additives

No soy, wheat or corn or any of the Midwest chicken diet that makes up most other commercial parrot foods. The delivery from the supplier was very reliable apart from a short delay due to unavailability.

Provide an average street rating.

I think it's good value for money, but I can't rate the taste. These are parrot pellets and I haven't tried them...lol but my parrot won't eat them so IDK maybe they don't taste good? I'll try and hope she eats them. Pretty difficult to gauge accurately.

Too much product left after bird eats

I bought these to avoid vitamin/mineral supplements for my Eclectus Parrot. She likes it very much, but never eats too much product. Like many others, the product is not eaten and remains as a powder at the bottom of the bowl. The support person was very nice and told me that this is normal and the excess needs to be removed to keep it from getting moldy. I've tried making the leftover powder with eggs and egg whites, which she loves, but she doesn't eat it as well as the TOPS pellets or the…

It's a miracle! My picky bird ate them!

OMG! My bird actually eats them! It's a fucking miracle! It is natural for birds not to accept unfamiliar food as a survival strategy, so it can be expected that they will find it difficult to switch from seed to pellet food. You must be patient and resourceful. I have successfully transitioned all my birds but one is very unfavorable to each type of pellet. I have been trying to put my Barraband parrot on a pelleted diet for several months without success. I've tried Harrison's, Roudybush…
