Yes the fuel pump works fine thanks

I installed this fuel pump but it doesn't seem to work, the one I removed worked better than this one. I don't know what to do, I have suggestions

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Low repairability

Save money compared to auto parts stores

Was installed on an Impala 03 on the side of the motorway in winter. Buy a snap ring, it's worth it! Only downside was I had to connect 4 wires as my car didn't have color coded wiring! There are 4 white wires in total. The instructions weren't clear. I had to use google for that.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Difficult to remember, but

Fits my 2003 Chevy Impala 3.

Fits my 2003 Chevy Impala 3.8. No need to remove the tank, fold down the rear seats and the trim panel is accessible under the trunk carpet. My fuel gauge wasn't working, I was tired of using the odometer to keep track of the amount of fuel. I would suggest having extra butt joints on hand and I also put tape after the joint to keep dirt and moisture out.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Zero

I can't go wrong with the price.

This is the second pump I've bought for our 2001 Chevy Impala. The first was installed in 2015 when the car had 90,000 miles and this was due to the fuel gauge not working. This was fitted at 190,000 miles because the sensor failed again and the rheostat was removed when it was removed from the tank, which is no big surprise for 100,000 mile fills and also for ethanol fuel. So the quality might not be for life, but it was a good product nonetheless.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Worked in my Pontiac Grand Prix

Looks like it was well made and once installed it worked and fixed my fuel gauge problem. The only question I have is why they changed the harness connector. Splicing the wiring was a challenge as there is no slack in the original wiring to make it easy. Maybe it's a regular pump so they started with a new plug I have no idea but it worked. I had a hard time putting the locking ring back on and had to use the original rubber grommet, but that's irrelevant to this part - I tried not to hit the…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Wiring problem, no instructions. The two thicker wires (gray and black) for the pump factory are the same colors. The 2 smaller wires (purple and black with white stripe) for the fuel level sender box - there are 2 purple wires at the factory so I don't think it matters which direction they go. I spent some time researching my factory pump's wiring and everything was easy to figure out. The new cable connector hit the large metal pins on the locking ring so I cut them off. The new pump is…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Great pump, great price, with a little extra work.

Great pump! The kit requires two upgrades. It would be great if it came with plastic fuel line clips. So if you accidentally break one of these by removing it from the original and it's SUNNY, I was able to successfully remove mine, but it would be better just to replace them with new ones. Finally, a new plug is inserted, twice the size of the original plug, which must be passed through two "dummy" pins of the steel thrust ring. The posts are only there to keep you from installing the ring…

  • Quality construction

Good deal some problems

This worked great for me, the only problem I have is if I'm not sure what the harness can do you can ask someone who knows what they don't brings along instructions on which cable goes where, where I personally do that. I've been doing this for a long time. It doesn't really matter to me, but things I would recommend. Buy some waterproof connectors with shrink wrap to keep them secure, or just solder them like I did. Please be careful around the fuel tank, don't blow yourself up, and if you're…
