Works as described - not pretty especially the orange part of the lamp

These lights work as described - yes they appear to be well made - yes they are attractive - tough no decorative ring gives you an 'eyeball' " old school looks and the bulb has an odd orange dot which is clearly visible on product images - I was hoping it would be less noticeable in person - that's not the case at all. The product looks good, the overall look is cheap and unattractive.

Works but requires drilling holes in my mount

They don't work like many aftermarket kits because the spring clips require some sort of housing to attach. Other aftermarket kits use simple friction metal clips that can be used almost anywhere. In order for these spring clips to work in my mount, I had to drill four holes in the body, 2 pairs of holes on opposite sides of the inside of the mount. These holes should be large enough that each hole fits into one end of the end of the spring clip. It works, but it took me a lot more to get it…

Great solution for vaulted ceiling lighting

Disgusting pictures but it's a REAL improvement over our basic can lights. Instead of being useful, the old fixtures lit the room at eye level due to the ceiling angle. We rarely turned them on as the light from across the room just blinded us. This was a game changer as their customizability allowed us to target them to a specific shelf/coffee/bar. No more blinding light - wow! Very easy installation. And as others have mentioned, Lutron dimmers work great with them. My only complaint is that…

Great light, almost as easy as changing a bulb

I originally bought 4 of the 4" versions to retrofit with lights in my cooker hood. They were chosen on purpose because the light beam is controllable and adjustable so I can control the light could point at the stove.Installation was very easy.As Torchstar lights have bezels I had to remove the old bezels which were held in place by two coil springs. The supplied wiring harness screws into the socket on the old bulb and the plug on the new light plugged right in. That's all there is to…

Great light almost as easy as changing a lightbulb

I originally bought 4 of the 4" versions as a retrofit with bulbs in my range hood. They were chosen on purpose because the beam of light is controllable and adjustable, allowing me to focus the light on the stove. Installation was very easy. Since Torchstar lights have bezels I had to remove the old bezels which were held in place by two coil springs. The wiring harness supplied is screwed into the socket of the old light bulb and the plug of the new light is plugged in directly. That's all…

Easy installation, great light, great price.

I bought these to replace the standard ceiling lights in my wife's art studio. She wanted to control the direction of the light. My existing cans (bodies) are 6 inches wide. They were quick and easy to put in place, taking just 5 minutes to replace 6. The adapter has a threaded adapter to fit standard lamp mounts. The springs are strong and pull the lamp tight to the ceiling. The ring seals the case properly so they look good. The head swivels about 350 degrees in almost any direction and can…

Great product, just didn't fit in our home.

This is a very good product, well built and neat. My only issue is that I have halogens throughout the house and we love the warm tones of the halogens and the ability to dim them heavily to create decorative lighting that is very attractive. Unfortunately, all of the LED replacement bulbs we've tried (and we've tried many) don't come anywhere near the light quality of our halogen bulbs. The extremely low wattage of the new LEDs compared to halogen lamps is certainly attractive. But the warmest
