Excellent 4 " LED recessed light

Excellent 4" LED recessed light. A little hum/hum when connected to a dimmer but not bad compared to other brands. Beautiful large frame that perfectly hides the flaws of the holes.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Neutral

After a year and a half, 3 of .

After a year and a half, 3 of the 18 lamps that I ordered and installed hardly work anymore. Seven of them are switched on irregularly. Apparently these headlights only have a one year warranty so now I have to go and replace most of them.

Pros
  • complete set
Cons
  • disappearing

I like it anyway.

I am taking 5 stars down to 4 because out of 12 bought and installed 4 turn on a few seconds slower (all on the same circuit). These three are also less bright when the LED-compatible dimmer is set low, and are slightly different in color from the others. Video turned on.

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Good replacement for recessed lights

This light works great. There was a problem with the connector on this connector having the opposite polarity, which was necessary in my application. It was easy to cut this connector, cut the connector from my old bracket, and then twist the wire connectors to attach my old (proper) connector to this bracket.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Good light but it didn't work for me

I like the light but it didn't work in my house. I need a light that isn't very high because the lenses they go in are a little flat. It was just under 3 1/2 inches tall and didn't fit the ceiling perfectly. The light itself seemed good and was VERY bright compared to our old 50 watt bulbs. It would be better to replace them with 75 watt models.

Pros
  • Excellently done
Cons
  • Clarity

Soft white light, better light output and attractive light style.

I bought this because of the soft white color, better light output and attractive light design. My only complaint is that the color temperature doesn't change when the light is dimmed (they are dimmable but keep the same color temperature). This is a new feature of the LED light bulb. In addition, the lamp is supplied without an O-ring to prevent air escaping from the lamp body/ceiling into the room.

  • Cool

Energy-saving, elegant LED built-in lights.

All recessed lights in the house replaced with these. Very satisfied. Energy saving and good looks. They look very similar to the expensive built-in incandescent bulbs we had before. My husband easily replaced them himself by simply pulling the old ones out and sticking them back on. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that they may or may not work with dimmers depending on the dimmer. Ours worked with our current dimmers. They are very bright, brighter than the recessed lights they…

Great price and very easy to change!

Smart retrofit kit – hardly more difficult than changing a light bulb! Added bonus: The Torchstar design noticeably reduces air leakage around the existing lantern. The color takes some getting used to, but it's perfectly acceptable: bright and slightly warm. As already mentioned, if there are less than 4 lamps in the circuit, the standard dimmer will cause the lamps to flicker. So look for a more compatible dimmer with less power. I changed 10 in the kitchen, it's a lot brighter than the old…
