These lights are just amazing! I bought 2 4 packs of 6 inch warm bulbs.

These lights are absolutely amazing! I bought 2 4 packs of 6 inch warm 2700K soft white bulbs. I'm using them on my basement renovation and they're a lot brighter than I expected! My blankets are only 8ft tall, but they are way lighter than I ever imagined! I'm glad I went with them! Once your holes are cut they literally only show up after you've plugged in your 2 or 4 wires to get to the next light! I am buying 3 more sets of these! I cut the holes 5 1/4" in diameter and the minimum depth…

I LOVE HER. I don't know how to improve them.

Wow. That 5000k is BRIGHT! So bright that we had to re-order the 2700k temp for the room we were making. But we were so impressed with these lights that we kept the original 5K as well. They are amazing entities. We have used them for both new and refurbishment installations and they are compact enough to fit in very small spaces. I like that they can come into contact with insulation and are also good for wet areas like bathrooms. My builder/repairer was so impressed he ordered a few more for…

Great lights, I recommend!

I really liked these lights. Much easier to install than the old canister style junction box recessed lighting. The wiring was easy and the clamp connectors worked without any problems. There was more than enough space in the built in driver boxes to hide and cover the cables - several reviews I read complained about the lack of space, but if you use the right length of cable you won't have a problem. I connected four lights in series and terminated them with a 600w Lutron dimmer switch (for…

Rigid with plaster ceiling but good lighting

I was having trouble keeping the light flush with my plaster and batten ceiling. I ended up having to smear the bottom edges of the fairing with silicone and hold them in place until they set - not ideal when it's time to replace one of them. Stronger clips would be required to hold the light flush if the ceiling is thicker than standard drywall. It was nice! I expect the installation to go very smoothly in this situation. Light color temperature (2700K) and brightness are good, and they don't…

Clean look, dimmable lights in basement with false ceiling.

They're just gorgeous. I ordered several different lights to decide what to use in my wife's office and while not the cheapest, their thoughtfulness and build quality proved to be the best. As a result, I installed 9 of these lights in a false ceiling. A room that used to have five 2" x 2" fluorescent lights, one track-mounted halogen light, and one Rando light. I reinforced each drop ceiling panel with liquid nails, nailed 1/8" thick fiberboard (MDF) to the back, and then drilled a 5.5"…

Just buy them! (Like it's my fifth time!)

I'm about to buy my fifth set of these wonderful lights! So we decided to replace our living room fixtures with recessed lighting. They were so easy to install (no cans!/no attic crawling!) and they made such a huge transformation that we just keep buying more to transform more rooms. They dim completely until almost darkness (see photo) or can completely illuminate a room. The room in my photos is 20ft x 35ft just to give you an idea of the lighting possibilities. Please excuse the belly aos…

Overall a very good product

I bought these because they were not intended for existing retrofit applications like many LED hi hat lights available today. (It was a new installation in an already finished living room). They're also UL listed, which some say isn't a requirement, but I personally don't trust the origin of non-UL listed electrical products. To be UL listed, a product goes through a very active process that tests devices well beyond what they would normally encounter. This process can take many months and is…
