Such a pretty red.

These rope halters are really strong. My husband wanted a solid red halter for his young mare and it was the loveliest shade of red I could find. He looks so good on this bay mare.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Unreliable

Very disappointing - Tack

The halter comes in two pieces right where I tie the loop when the halter is on horseback. Very disappointed with this halter as all my other Tough 1 products have been very valuable and durable. This halter didn't last 6 months before it turned to rubbish.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Beautiful halter suitable for equestrian sports

This is a really nice well made halter. However, what I really wanted was something "weaker" that I could stuff in my saddlebag and use on the trail. It was harder than the "normal" ones. I give it five stars because it's a great halter but not what I wanted.

Good halter for the money - loose ends

This halter feels solid. It's easy to use. I'm not happy with the end where the two ropes come together. It needed to be pumped better than just wrapped with something like electrical tape. It's good enough for the price, but I needed to do a better job of fusing and re-wrapping the ends. So beware.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

A good halter for the price. Works perfectly!

Good price. It's quite stiff and too big for my little horse. The ends are not crimped or crimped together like most halters, but instead have soft rubber, almost like duct tape. I'm not sure if I like it or not. I've seen horses get metal in their eyes, but I'm not sure how well the plastic will hold up. You get what you pay for. This is a good halter for the price.

They sent a bright orange and a dull orange halter.

I ordered two bright orange (like two horses) bright orange as shown in the ad and on my horse. I received a light orange and a matte orange (same part number) from two different manufacturers. Bright (made in Beijing, China) dim (made in India). I ordered a replacement and they sent me another blunt one. Now I specifically requested the Beijing made one to hopefully get a bright orange. I wanted her to ride during hunting season. Otherwise the halters are very good and easily adjusted to fit a

COSTS MONEY! good for other sports

So far I am very satisfied with my purchase! The color of the product matches the description, light and bright. The rope is nice and strong, it's a bit stiff but it's what I wanted as it will obviously loosen over time. I will say the knots on the halter are a bit loose but I can tighten them. I feel there may be loose knots to allow you to adjust the halter to your particular horse. I've only used my new halter once so I can't comment on the durability of this item. I will come back and…
