Tough 1 Mane Stay Shoulder Guard: Durable Nylon and Spandex for Optimum Protection Review

I like how far this mane goes down the neck, but the part where the velcro is on the neck is already coming loose. I would like to send in a new one to replace if possible.

Exactly what I wanted. My only complaint is that I wish the velcro was upside down so the "scratch" side wasn't facing her skin. You can't adjust the perimeter as the only way to avoid scratches is to close them completely.

I love the Tough-1. My T-1 leaves are my favorite. This shoulder pad seems good and while I haven't used it for more than a few days I expect it to last as long as the sheets. Caveat: I think the guards are a little small. I bought Small for my mare 925-950 lbs, 14.3 cm, 76 QH. The size is acceptable but I would like to buy medium.

Medium fits my Thoroughbred 16 hrs, 1000 lbs. I bought it because one of his blankets was rubbing his mane and causing pain in the withers. I liked this one because it seemed like it was going higher on the neck which helped with his mane. However, it doesn't fit snugly around the neck to stay upright. And the rubber band that goes around his girth pinches his back, it left a sore spot just below the withers. But the quality of this shoulder pad is good
