The cube is too big for practical use.

I loved these Colossal Cube Ice Makers when I ordered them for my Old Fashion cocktails. In short, they did not deliver as expected. The cube didn't turn out like it does in the photo. On some sides there were still pieces of ice. Most importantly, they only fit in a square cocktail glass that I had. Any round jars you have will need to be very large in order for the cube to fit all the way to the bottom of the jar. Just stick with a smaller cube.

Make sure you have a giant jar for these cubes - if you don't choose Tovolo's Sphere Ice Molds

I bought Tovolo ice cube molds with a colossal cube and spherical ice molds. I really wanted to love these cube molds but the problem is that the ice cream made from them is so big that you can hardly use glasses with it. Tovolo spherical ice molds do not have this problem. Now the quality of real molds is at the highest level - the soft silicone top makes it incredibly easy to get the ice cream when it freezes. There is a small hole at the top of the mold that you use to fill it with water. It

Feel free to buy them! They are cool. I have to admit that the price seemed a bit crazy to me, but I'm now considering buying another set. The balls go with more things than I thought: my double wall steel thermos, mugs, glasses, etc. The balls last a long time. long and don't displace as much liquid as I thought, but the drinks stay ice cold.
