I was hoping to get this to an ice cream stand and get them to fill 1/2 pint and they won't use someone else's container . So I can try to put the box in and that helps keep the chip fresh, but eventually getting the box out becomes problematic. I think I might move it into this one. live and learn

Highly recommended. The containers are made of hard and durable plastic. I bought two to try and liked them so much I bought two more. They are perfect for storing desserts that need refrigeration. In two containers there is enough space for a portion of ice cream. I also use it to store finished ice cream so it doesn't burn in the freezer.

This is a rating for a large capacity. I love this sundae. It holds a full load of my small ice cream maker, and the snug but flexible lid is easy to remove. The tub itself is also easy to clean, inside and out, and is sturdy enough to withstand the knocks of a freezer. The color and size make it easy to find in the freezer when pushed back (like I need help finding ice cream!) :) Good buy.

We only eat homemade ice cream. I owned a few of these for a while. In this container you mix the ingredients for a liter of ice cream, cover it well and put it in the fridge. Transfer to a frozen ice cream container to mix the mixture and transfer the ice cream back into this container, cover and freeze. Works great every time. I absolutely love this container. Also bought 6 ounces to store excess ice cream!

It takes forever to empty a liter of ice cream. We mainly buy ice cream from TJ's or Warehouse Club C. The carton that contains delicious dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla breaks when we try to take out the ice cream, so now we immediately remove the carton and put the frozen ice cream in this container. (Not so easy with Warehouse Club Vanilla, but we can put half of this container in one of them and the rest in the other.) That's great!

I bought this to use as an ice bucket. My apartment building has a commercial ice maker and I wanted to use it by putting an ice bucket in the freezer. This requires an ice cutter because the cubes will stick together, but it's a lot easier than breaking an ice cube tray. I had to retrieve some sort of ice bucket after cracking open a Tupperware container with an ice pick. But when searching the Internet, they cost 25-30 dollars. This is the liter container we use to store homemade ice cream in the freezer. The container is strong, with thick walls and a very flexible lid that makes it easy to remove. The lid reminds me of the material used to make mats and small cake tins. I love it and it protects ice cream well. Of course, I put wax paper or plastic wrap on top of the ice to prevent crystals from forming on the surface, but this can be done with any container.
