Excellent lever if you don't remove it before steep descents. The weight of my jeep sitting on it bent my warning bumper. At the same time, the tow hook itself remained intact. The only downside is that the standard tow hook does not fit in the tow eye. You'll need large D-rings or some skill to use it as a rescue hook. I would buy it again.

Rated 10,000 Restoration of my 1985 ChevK20 4x4 pickup truck. The truck had no room for tow hooks in the front. Steel plates were added to the frame and the top of these plates were grounded as they are slightly rounded and attached to the frame with #8 grade bolts pressed firmly against the bumper. They're supposed to fit a rear receiver, but I installed them in the front and they look like they'll pull everything out of a mud pit. They stick out a little, but that's what I wanted.

This is good equipment. Two stars due to the orange sticker shown in the picture. When you receive the item, you can see the sticker says this bezel ring is not suitable for towing. So the name "Tow Ready" is misleading. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it wasn't meant to be towed. I don't know what it is for. It's heavy, so it can come in handy for protecting your paper plates from the wind during a beach picnic. Nowhere on the packaging does it say it's not towable. It actually says TOWING
