My granddaughter Angel Rose always talked about wanting a telescope. She took rolls of paper and made a telescope out of them because she wanted to see the stars. Her birthday was August 8th and I surprised her with this telescope. The smile on her face was priceless. She has thanked me about ten times and every time I speak to her she still thanks me. If I could give more than 5 stars I would because my granddaughter is so delighted with her birthday present.

My son is 4 years old but he loves the stars. Of course, I didn't want to invest $1000 in a high-end telescope, so I found this telescope at a reasonable price. After opening and adjusting the scope, I was surprised at the quality. So the men's lenses and bluetooth controller work with my phone without a telescope so I can easily take family photos without holding my phone. (The photos posted are the wood texture of my kitchen cabinets when I tried the remote control function)

This is an amazing toy. And I emphasize the word "toy" because that's what it is. Though it's a well made toy and works 100x better than my old $40 one piece telescope. It doesn't have the $300 telescope upgrades. It is ideal for children and beginners as it is very easy to assemble and can be placed on the floor or on a table. Thought it was a regular telescope but it's a desktop setup but it's my fault I should have read the description better. Anyway, my nephew loves it and can sit outside at the table to use it without getting up. The phone connects to take pictures of what you're looking at. I suggest an app called Stellarium that uses your phone to point to the sky and find constellations and planets for easier locating. It's like using google maps to find the stars and planets. This was a 6th birthday present for my sons. Assembly was easy, installation took about 10 minutes out of the box, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. This takes some getting used to, but is to be expected from anything that has fine tuning. We had a full moon last night/morning so I took it outside and played with it a bit.
