Thought it was a regular telescope but it's a desktop setup but it's my fault I should have read the description better. Anyway, my nephew loves it and can sit outside at the table to use it without getting up. The phone connects to take pictures of what you're looking at. I suggest an app called Stellarium that uses your phone to point to the sky and find constellations and planets for easier locating. It's like using google maps to find the stars and planets. Great app for everyone. The telescope is solidly made, metal with plastic inserts. Comes with 3 lenses for observing stars and planets. Like I said he loves it and he is 7 years old.
