🚗 Toyota 17801-0H010 Air Filter Element - Authentically Engineered for Maximum Performance Review

The air filter was bought for my year and type of car as far as I know, which will be used in the next few months if necessary. In August, after about 6 months, I went to change the filter. It was the wrong size or too big. Now I don't have $14 and a filter I can't use. The return window is closed. I tried to contact a Toyota dealer about a genuine part. The website was useless.

The filter I received had one "square" corner and 3 "rounded" corners. My airbox doesn't have a key corner, I had to cut the corner. When I last bought this item the filter had a black rubber gasket on the bottom and it was a little different. It was in an official red Toyota box, but the box was sealed with a piece of tape, which I found odd. Anyhow, hope this helps!

Got this for my 2013 Highlander. You can immediately see that the edges of this new filter are thicker and the corners are not as rounded as the original filter. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thick and the corners tended to stick out instead of fitting under the top cap, you have to try and tighten the top cap and even then it doesn't seem like everything lines up properly. This is a genuine Toyota engine air filter. I find the aftermarket filters to be of higher quality than this product. K&N makes great filters and TRD makes good filters too. Purolator also makes good filters. The OEM engine air filter seems a bit cheap, so it's not the right choice for the discerning car owner.
