I installed it because I knew it would mainly be for looks and to add suction noise. To be honest I can't really hear the intake due to the loud MBRP exhaust I have. But the truck sounds good and I like the cleanable filter.

Tired assembly, took about 30 minutes. The downloaded instructions are easy to use. Changes the engine head sound in the cockpit. Not joining the raging intake controversy, I do claim that I've noticed a slight improvement in mileage and acceleration.

Great update. The '17 Tacoma pulls down a little harder, and that allows the truck to stay in gear a little longer. To be honest I don't understand why Toyota doesn't put this in the TRD PRO to come back with the TRD Kat.

Arrived complete with all components in sealed packaging. Installation took about an hour, don't forget to disconnect the battery while you work on cleaning the sensor. Power is noticeable and not overly loud with the six-speed manual transmission. Throttle is more responsive and smoother, can't say it translates to horsepower but definitely works better than with the burst shot. Looks good with the hood up.

I love this product. It looks good. To be honest, installing a Toyota reusable air filter or a K&N air filter will likely give you the same performance at a lower price. You will end up reusing the standard air filter box base so the filters are the same size. This product, along with the throttle body I installed, added a little oomph to my truck.
