Certified Refurbished TP-Link Archer T6E AC1300 PCIe Wireless WiFi Adapter Card with Heatsink Technology for PC Review

Bought to replace the Netgear POS USB wireless adapter. I only had trouble installing it because the case I bought was cheap and the dimensions of the black slots for the metal plate to screw into the case were incorrect, so I had to cut the slot myself. Other than that, installing drivers and utilities is great. It works great, reliable and fast, and I only experience a little bit of signal clipping occasionally being only 20 feet from my router.

I have no doubt that this is a good product. I'm sure this works fine for most, but it didn't install for me. When I plugged in the PCIx connector, my computer wouldn't boot, it just got stuck on a blank screen. I couldn't get into safe mode either. I tried this in my other available PCI slots (I had 3) and none worked. I ordered another MFG card and it fit, so I returned this one. I have an HP 6300 SFF desktop with Windows 10.

The package arrived quickly, without problems and in good condition. After installing what I thought was the drivers for this model (Windows 10 64bit) and installing the adapter on the motherboard, I couldn't find the adapter anywhere on the computer. I bought this a few months ago and it worked fine initially. I noticed that it had issues with 5G, sometimes it wouldn't "see" 5G around, sometimes it would connect but not get a good IP address from the router. (The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that 2.4G works well.) All my other devices worked fine with the 5G modem/router.
