Pretty easy installation

Placing this behind my panel sets me up for most hookups and an afternoon's work session. A few more connections for added functionality, but well worth it at this price point until the company stumbles and we lose web service.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • I'll add later

So I set up the device and go to the website, register the device with the number on the device and it shows a boat in Oklahoma. My boat is in West Palm Beach, Florida! Just supposed email support and they never answered my email. Please note that the return window is very short and there is also a support window! This is clearly a product designed to SELL, not work. So now I don't have 300.00 plus all the time to install this junk. I had to send it back as I opened the package and saw what a…

This is a great product and very easy to install

This is a great product and very easy to install. Pays off as my insurance reduced my premium by 10%. If it wasn't for the app's installation guide, I would have given it 5 stars. Eventually called 800 as they said there was no app. You have to steer the boat through the website. It's not difficult, but if you request an updated report, the site says it will update automatically in 30 seconds. That's true, but to get updates you have to close and reopen the website. I was told that the new app…

Easy remote monitoring of your boat investment.

I installed the system myself on our boat over a month ago. It exceeded my expectations, giving me GPS location and "real-time status" of both battery systems, both building systems, temperature, flood alarms, and the ability to remotely control three relays. I use it for remote control/monitoring from my iPhone - rear pump, cab heater and electric engine heater. The monthly fee to connect to a cellular modem is less than $10 per month and works well. Alarm, door entry alarm and power failure…

Seems to be going out of business

I have 3 of these and have loved them and told dozens of friends about them - BEWARE - something is afoot and the company seems to be going out of business. They no longer support their app. Who does it? I no longer receive SMS updates on 3 devices when there is an alarm - ONLY emails NOT all! Very sporadic. Bottom line: if you can't trust it, it's useless! Again - be careful if you're just starting out - why are there only 2 left? UPDATE: They managed to fix the issue of not receiving text…

We think Boat Command is a must have

The Boat Command is a great product. It provides a reliable connection to our boat, which is moored a few miles from our home. It's easy to track your boat's location, battery level and more from the comfort of your home. Last winter we were on board during a winter storm. My husband set an anchor alarm and we went to bed. In the middle of the night the alarm went off, warning us that the anchor had slipped and we were about to set off. We started the engine and dropped anchor. It was a…

Total safety and comfort

I installed the Boat Command on my sailboat to monitor the battery charge from shore. The battery won't charge until it's too late, and the fridge will drain the batteries, which can get pretty expensive. Installation was easy, the only thing that takes time is the wiring. I like my wiring to look like it was factory installed. Since I already had my batteries' voltage monitored by the boat command, I added a shore power "sensor" (actually an AC/DC converter) and three relays for my anchor…

If you have it, you cannot do without it

This is an easy installation on a 21ft boat. Under console. GPS is very accurate and as long as it is within range of a cell phone, family members on shore can always pinpoint the boat's position if one is used. And of course track it if stolen. Also, does it allow you to always know the status of the boat? My boat is in the floating dock of the weekend house. I am notified of any movement of the boat using the GPS geofence, as well as any movement under the berth. My installer set it up to…

Great product at a reasonable price. Some issues

I've been using it for about 3 or 4 years, the service has been reliable and the support has been very good in the past. The battery monitor (2 batteries), bilge pump monitor (2 pumps) and motion sensor were all reliable and I think they are fairly accurate. There were several false positives from the motion sensor that could be a flying insect or spider. The alarm function is fast and the map view in the app is reassuring. The battery consumption is so low that it is not a problem. This summer
