🌈 100ft Spool of 14 Gauge 7-Wire Trailer Light Cable Harness with 7 Distinct Colors Review

I ordered this thinking I would get 7 different wire colors but I didn't receive 6 different colors and 2 the same color. Makes something a little harder to connect, not impossible but a little harder.

I make my own wiring harnesses for cars and trailers and bought this kit for a fairly large wiring project. Very glad I did! High quality copper wire with easily removable sheath.

Excellent quality, you get a lot of cables for the money. With all that, I could hook up at least 5-6 more trailers. A corresponding amount of cable from a hardware store or car dealership easily costs twice as much.

I received 7 spools of cable but the colors were wrong. I have two browns and two purples, neither blue nor white but the rest were there. I bought the wire specifically to make a 7 different color harness, it doesn't seem to be happening now.

Able to meet your needs over the long term, this 100 foot wire assortment is a lot less expensive than buying individual colors individually. Although I haven't used everything yet, it will be available to me for a long time. Excellent range of colors with the correct gauge of wire for the intended use.

All wires and colors look great I have no problems with them. Unfortunately, looking at the strands of wire it looks like it's better advertised as 16 gauge wire, not 14 gauge wire, then yes it will be a problem. Overall the wire looks good and the color does not fade or melt.

Very good value for money. I couldn't tell that the wire (strands) is actually aluminum with a copper coating. I didn't try to scrape the copper to check. I used contact paste/lubricant when crimping. All connections were crimped and heat shrink tubing was used. Aluminum wiring can pose a problem if not done properly due to its "expansion" properties. But for a boat trailer it should be ok. I would not use it in an RV, boat etc due to the possibility of loose connections that could result in a…

Updated 7/13/17 I bought this primarily for my pontoon trailer and this week my rear corner lights are gone. I put the wire in a sheath and the traces are inside the fully enclosed frame. On the ends I made the connection to the headlights with marine grade epoxy heat shrink connectors. The whole thing was then wrapped with 3M mastic tape and the whole thing was tucked back into the skin to keep everything looking nice. In other words, a quality connection.
