We have leaks due to an upgrade by a contractor to call our bathrooms. This gauge showed us everywhere the wet drywall was. He also showed us where the leak was. This is a valuable tool.

Tramex Moisture is excellent and easy to use. It beeps when the humidity is too high and highlights zones to detect reading hazards (e.g. green, yellow and red). That made my work a lot easier.

Easy to use. Seems to be accurate; a good way to find hidden moisture. There are several scales. For a tree, this is a clear measure. For drywall, this is a relative measure. I've found that in some places with drywall the readings are zero. But when I measured the drywall over the counter, the humidity was low (wood contains moisture); nothing to worry about but an indicator of how well it's working. Highly recommended.

The main function of the moisture meter is good but it's a little bigger and bulkier than the GE Protimeter and the pads on the back are easy to detach. I called Tramex to find out how to fix the pads and they want me to send them to Ireland with customs papers for between 150 and 200, all for two cheap pads.
