Quick and Easy Good for data storage

As I said above, installation is easy and only takes a few minutes. The longest part of the process is reinstalling your backup data. It would be great if they released a 10TB version, but things this cute are one to dream of.

Works perfectly! suitable for computers and accessories

Works great, installed for half a year. Apple charged $1,300 to replace this drive when my original showed signs of problems. You could buy a new computer for that price. This fixed my problems and gave me extra storage space. Initial setup was easy, but there are some small things that require some work to fully sync to upgrade to newer OS versions.

Quick and easy install

Mid 2013 480GB installed on my Macbook Air. I installed it a little differently than the instructions and instead of cloning the disk I wanted to clean and format it. I had to use Disk Utility from an old bootable Mavericks USB because High Sierra didn't format APFS for some weird reason. I then swapped drives, cleaned up my installed High Sierra, and used OSX Migration Assistant to copy each one to my new hard drive, making it easy to copy all my files. The Thunderbolt connection made this a…

Easy to install but not durable!

Bought this item in September and it has worked great for 3 months. Now the SSD started to slow down, which made the laptop work very sluggishly. It got to the point where it became unusable. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. please stay away Many Thanks.

SSD died after just one year, no clear guarantee path

Everything was great at first. I upgraded to a 2015 Retina MacBook Pro and the extra space was amazing. Everything seemed to work great. Until one morning the computer woke up and booted up. I've tried everything. The computer appeared to be dead, but upon further investigation it turned out to be a Transcend SSD. Path. chew put. Dead. I had to buy another small 128GB SSD to make sure I put it in the same computer and it boots up right away. I also got an external usb ssd for mac ssd which…

amazing upgrade; Enclosure kit works fine

The hard drive and kit were delivered very quickly. Installing it on my mid 2014 MBP was very easy! I connected the included Transcend case and created a bootable clone of my internal hard drive using Chronosync. Changing discs only took a few minutes. The new Transcend drive started up immediately and has been purring ever since. There are no overheating issues. Adding more memory saved me from having to buy a new laptop. Also, I can use the case as a backup drive.

Great way to upgrade to your MacBook

Drive works great. I upgraded my MacBook Pro hard drive to 128GB. The aluminum body is of very good quality. The only caveat is that the case is Thunderbolt 2 compliant, not 3 compliant, and the price is higher.
