Mine came with the wood warped, and the hole spacing won't allow the screw to attach to the switch(s). Even if I could screw it on, it won't lay flat against the wall.

You will need to do some easy sanding to finish this item and also will likely want to put a coating of stain or paint on it. Mine are well made and with a little sanding and stain they look great. One did arrive to me a little damaged but the company responded immediately with a perfect replacement so no worries trusting this company with an order.

The routed edges are all pretty rough and kind of hard angles to sand. Otherwise it fits well in my boxes. The raw surface of the wood could trap dirt and grime, making it hard to clean and maintain!

I used a combination stain/varnish on this and it took to it really well. When I was done and it had dried I was extremely pleased with how closely I was able to match the trim on my kitchen cabinets.

Do not buy this cover. I got three and with all of them the opening for the outlet was too small! I had to file out the opening to make it fit.

I have had this item in the past. When we had to replace our dimmer switches, we found that this wall plate does not fit on a Lutron LED dimmer switch. Ended up just painting the one that came with the dimmer.

This was just what I needed to retrofit into a wall that we had covered with cherry wood wainscoting. Not only was I able to stain it perfectly to match, but was also able to cover the existing outlet in an odd shaped corner by cutting the edge slightly with a circular saw. Good quality wood.
