Warranty void RING - No support due to using "plug-in transformer "

Ring Pro died after 45 days - No support due to using "plug-in transformer" instead of "transformer". They state that using a plug-in transformer other than a toroidal transformer will invalidate support. They only list 24VAC 40VA which is what I bought. The support tried to tell me that the plug-in transformer is not a transformer?!?! In the end they said they would replace the device but are canceling all future support for it! What nonsense is this. This plug-in transformer, whileโ€ฆ

The best plug-in transformer I could find for a Eufy doorbell.

Eufy specifications are listed as minimum requirements. This is a mistake on their part as they are not even listed as a minimum. It can handle high voltages and this transformer delivers maximum performance. I already wired the transformer to their specs and now it's very difficult to get to. So I had to improvise with an outlet transformer. The first one I bought here had great reviews as "compatible with Eufy" but it didn't work. This is the only transformer that properly triggered my Eufyโ€ฆ

My home security system control board broke the other day. I was starting to dread the idea of disabling all zone inputs and then figured I should just do some basic troubleshooting. I tried taking a multimeter reading from a huge block transformer and voila. Nothing. Firstly, I really didn't think anything could fail in a transformer (it's just windings). Secondly, when I was looking for a replacement, I noticed that switched-mode power supplies don't seem to exist as replacements. Strangeโ€ฆ
