NOT USED FOR 6 MONTHS OUT OF DATE!

Check out my photo before you buy! This is Tremco V116W Vulkem brand. The image shows the end of the tube with the words "03/25/21" or an expiration code. Today is the day I received the polyurethane sealant September 11, 2021. That means it expired 170 days or 6 months ago. We have a seller who is listing overdue stock on AMAZON to cover his losses due to too much overdue stock. I am returning it because this sealant uses a slow chemical process to cure. I'm pretty sure it cured pretty well in

Pros
  • Adhesives, Sealants & Lubricants
Cons
  • Not as thick as other selections

Great for sealing pool cracks

In search of a pool crack sealer I decided to search all the forums and see what the pros use. I have found that Vulkem 116 is the most commonly cited sealer by pool builders. I've used it to fill all the cracks during our big pool renovation project and so far it's holding up really well. It dries in about a week and this slow drying process may be one of the reasons why it's so strong: Vulkem 116 usually hardens. at a rate of 1/16 inch per day at 75°F (24°C) and 50% relative humidity. After 5

Pros
  • Urethane Adhesive
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Item arrived twice damaged

This is my third order for Vulkem sealant. The first arrived undamaged in the usual Prime Box packaging. The 2nd and 3rd orders arrived in a paper envelope (2nd) and a plastic envelope (3rd). Both later deliveries had damaged tube ends as shown in the picture above. One seemed unusable and went back. I had to pay a 10% price increase for a replacement tube which also arrived damaged but still usable (plastic mailing envelope). I don't know who in Quality Assurance decided that cheaper packaging

Pros
  • Industrial Adhesives
Cons
  • So far so good
