Sturdy, good for pivots

Very good tool for installing doors. I put tape on the underside of the metal corner on the door when working on hardwood floors to avoid scratching them. Other than that, this is a great product.

Pros
  • Fun
Cons
  • Little things

Complete error, doesn't work at all

This tool just doesn't work. The leg that goes under the door is tilted down so everything slides off. Garbage. Don't buy this.

  • Solid construction

Worked well, saved time and money!

Worked well, could have used a little improvement but saved me money. Makes a hanging door a one man job. I only wish it had a way to lock it when it would be a great tool! But in general I measured the hinges on the door and jams.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I won't say anything

I almost lost control and dropped the door with that thing.

Seems like a great tool and I'm sure the original was a great tool but this one looks like a fake and just lets the door slide at the end and I have dropping the hard core door on the customer's wooden floor and almost lost control.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Good overall but...

This is a great idea with poor execution

This is a great idea with poor execution. The protrusion holding the door faces down in all positions of the lever. When you lift the door in the air, it just tries to slide off the edge and knocks the door down in two planes. When using it on a plush carpet, this effect is amplified by the weight of the door tilting the entire assembly and giving the bar an extra downward angle.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Some bugs

It had to have a non-slip surface.

I wanted to return it but apparently I didn't request it in time. I tried using it on two different doors but the door just slipped off. The manufacturer added a bumper to protect the door, but didn't put anything on the lower door stay to keep the door from sliding off. For almost $50 you would think they would add another piece of rubber. Because of this, I was never able to use this product.

  • Amazing

Doesn't hold a heavy door.

I install commercial doors and hardware The design of this item is poor, it may work with a light hollow door (which you can install without) as I've only tried an 85lb solid door on the Am lowest (with the door sitting on the ground) it's level, but when you lift it the part under the door starts tipping down, and the higher you raise the swamp it's tipping until the door slides off! It needs redoing to raise its legs, stopping right under the door, but so far it's unusable.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Won't snap, slides on floor AND underside of solid core door

I bought this so I can change hinges and move sagging solid core doors. As I slid the lever under the door and stepped on the lever to raise the outside corner, the lever quickly slid onto the floor and clattered out from under the door, scratching the wood floor and hitting the bottom of the door. Even with this tool REALLY holding the bottom of the door and not slipping, there was no way I could keep my foot on the lever and reach the top hinge to work it. I have a 5ft 3in, the lever won't…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things
