Less than 6 months old

Poorly designed KVM. Switching from PC to laptop is difficult, the laptop does not show up. Recently rearranged and set up the device. No longer displays video and only one port is connected for mouse and keyboard. Used for 5 months and no longer works. Don't waste your money with this brand. Find another, more reliable one.

Pros
  • 2-port USB 2.0 hub for drives and printers
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Better than other options out there. A little annoying feature.

Working; But be careful, if you just want to use it as a video switcher (why is it cheaper than some of the switcher-only devices?) then there's that pesky green flashing light on the front that lets you know the PC isn't connected.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • No form required

Doesn't support PC connections

As another reviewer noted, this doesn't support PC connections during swaps. I have two identical HP laptops in docking stations and two identical HP 24 inch monitors. Switching from PC 1 to PC 2 requires a 12 second wait for the monitors to turn off and on again. When they do that, the windows are rearranged where I left them. Go from PC2 to PC1, wait 12 seconds, then the monitors are not recognized, so I have to turn off the monitor, wait 4 seconds, then turn it back on - this wakes…

Works very well best in computer components

I bought this not sure if it would work well. It's great, but right now I'm only using one monitor. In this case it works with both my windows desktop and any laptop (windows or mac) connected to my laptop dock. I have a very high resolution monitor (3440 x 1440) and it runs fine at 60Hz. Make sure you have good cables or you might run into some problems. I've been using it for about 1 month and I love it. I would buy another one if needed. Update: I just saw the screen turning off issue…

There are better options

I bought this unit after a renovation. It broke after about 3 weeks, right before the refurbished return window, but that's not why I gave it two stars. It's just a poorly designed device from a company that doesn't seem to care about this product segment. The new device is a little cheaper than Iogear's similar one, but it comes cable-free and unless you have extra USB printer cables and DisplayPort cables, the cost ends up being the same. This device has a bright red and green LED on the…
