The threads are covered with plastic. I tried to remove some with the Xacto knife but couldn't get all of them. Hardware does not work properly due to plastic covering the threads. Should have read the reviews instead of assuming they are all the same (reviews from other companies are fine).

This item didn't have the craftsmanship I was hoping for, I wish the back plate was thicker and the screws would have stripped the plastic once you tightened them in inches. The metal screws must be screwed into the metal container. I just threw the item away. Didn't want to deal with returns.

The badge's plastic covering the two nuts on the back broke immediately when all the threads were screwed in. So the durability is definitely zero. I attached both nuts with epoxy and after drying screwed all the threads onto the nuts. If you are considering this purchase, go ahead and look elsewhere, $17 is way too much for such a cheap badge.

The colors on the front are the best thing about this item. They are bright and look great. The cheap plastic holding the nut and threaded part broke right after installation. I don't have to worry about returns, so I only cover the costs. This item is definitely not worth the price paid. I would advise against this product.

Mounted on my truck's grille, looks great. Installation was easy. Screw the screws into the badge. Place the emblem on the grille so that the screws are inserted from behind. Mount the retaining plate and put on the nuts. Tighten as needed. The only problem was tightening the screws. Suggest using a good file to give a quick sniff on the top edge of the screw you are installing from the side of the badge. It deburrs threads and simplifies assembly.

Threaded bolts are metal and visible from the outside. To install it properly you will need to paint the metal posts black so they are not visible. To install a badge on the 2021 off-road grille, you need to drill a hole in the grille. I ended up not installing it and it sits unused in my garage.
