I was surprised that the trays were fabric instead of hard plastic. I guess I didn't look closely enough. It took some time to get ready, at least an hour. I didn't get a small mallet in my box so I used a small hammer to better secure the corner pieces. Insert the corner pieces about 1 or 2mm to hold them in place, then hit with a hammer. It takes time, but the result is a beautiful shoe rack, stable, stable.

Very thin. The liners are made of some kind of thin paper material. It came with two pieces already torn and I cut off the third piece while trying to get out one of the tubes that came with it. The size is amazing and perfect for a closet, but the inserts need to be made from a more durable material. I use it for my son's shoes. He's a toddler so his shoes are light. But I don't think this thing can hold adult shoes without falling apart.

This thing is RELIABLE. Doesn't wobble on carpet either. It took a whopping 3 episodes of NCIS to put together but the instructions were simple enough. Super light; I could throw it with one hand if I wanted to. I wear a women's size 9 (men's 7.5) and could fit three Vans boxes on one shelf, four pairs of Converse on one, three pairs of heels on one twice. Fits a lot more than I expected. I split it into two small blocks to use one in another room. The photos show how I use only five shelves.

I recently started buying more shoes, why not right?! haha, of course I needed more space for shoes and came across this shelf. I ended up assembling it in about 20 minutes. Very short time. As you can see from the picture it holds a decent amount of shoes. As a height reference, I'm 5ft 3" tall and when I'm standing next to the shelf it's about my mouth/nose level. First, don't say it comes with a hammer and gloves if it doesn't (it shouldn't matter much, but don't say it has anything that doesn't case is there) so I deducted 2 stars because 2 pieces of fabric had holes, another star. This is a good product but not worth the price. There is a cheap alternative to this. Why am I saying this? due to misrepresentation of images. The width of the shelf in inches is approximately 17 inches and the height is approximately 7 inches. What I liked about this little shelf was its size, perfect for the small space I had to work with. It could hold 18 pairs of shoes in my size 7. I put a pair of my husband's size 10 shoes on the shelf and they sag a bit and there is only one pair on the shelf. Makes a fairly robust impression after assembly. Do yourself a favor: have cut-resistant gloves and a rubber mallet ready before trying this product. Sure, there are gloves and a mallet, but make your life easier (and safer) by using your own tools and personal protective equipment. Besides that, if you do this with two people on the assembly line, you'll save a lot of time. and disappointment.
