Scored, blocked and thumbs crossed.

So they arrived today and I was happy to see the TCL75 fit my big BFG KM2 tires. My tires are 35 x 12.5 R17 and I wasn't sure if the clamp would fit that wide so I contacted the manufacturer before hitting the buy button. The set of 2 keys contains a total of 6 keys, so there should be no problems with lost keys. As always, if someone wants to steal your stuff, they will find a way. At the very least, I hope the thieves will wonder if they have time to pry open, cut, or detach two of these…

  • Consistent test results

They don't protect the trailer

I mounted them on each tire on one side of a two axle livestock trailer. The trailer was stolen with wheel chocks installed. Apparently they broke after a few kilometers. When we found the trailer, there were no locks and only the wheel arches were damaged. They can serve as a deterrent to an ambitious thief, but not to a thief who decides to steal a pendant. One might assume four locks would be more efficient, but I think the result would be the same. I would suggest finding alternative…

Money Well Spent: Immobilizers and Wheel Pads

I have a 2006 Honda Civic that was stolen right out of my garage. Luckily I got it back. After this experience, I wanted to find something that would make me more secure when parking in my garage and prevent future theft attempts. Not sure what size to order, took a chance and ordered "Medium TCL275". They fit perfectly and took about 15 seconds to install. Very high quality and weighs a lot. I ordered a set of 2 and it came with two sets of keys (3 keys per set) and a nice storage box. The…

great locks, size a little loose

This is definitely a visual rather than a physical deterrent. But any lock is really just a deterrent to a determined thief. These are good stuff, they come with a carry case AND 6 keys (no need to ask the corner locksmith or home stockist to duplicate any of those keys, so that's a plus). Our trailer is fitted with 205/75/14 tires and the manufacturer says the 65 and 75 will work with rims and tires of that size. Although technically correct, these (75s) are actually too big for our trailer…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Other Other

After my car transporter trailer was stolen I decided to upgrade my anti-theft device. They are so easy to use. Insert and turn the key to release the lock cylinder and it will pop out. Put the keys back in your pocket. Slide the two halves far enough to go through the hoop. Place the tyre/wheel and join the two halves together as tightly as possible. Then press the lock cylinder down, slide the plastic protective cap over the lock cylinder, done. I believe ANY lock you put in place can be…

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • Expensive

Shopping without worries

Utility trailer is a sign to watch out for. Easy to steal. Easy to sell. I added upgrades to my trailer to make it even more valuable to me than the original purchase price. So I wanted it to stay in place when I'm not using it. I had a standard hitch lock as well as a hitch lock lock. But let's face it, a person can wrap a heavy wooden chain around a trailer tongue, attach it to a truck hitch, and walk away. They will later take care of picking the clutch locks at their chosen time and place…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

  • Minor issues
