Perfect fit and finish

Perfect fit and finish. Easy to use and set up. Just make sure you don't leave it attached to the truck, even with the locks on. Some burglar $&@" stole it right out of my truck in the middle of the night. Got it on video. Keys have to be the same type. Now when I'm done with it I'll video it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Excellent lift coupling! the best design on the market today! I used others and they rusted and seized in a few months. it works great all year round. UPDATE: Photos after 3 years of use. A little wear on the ball head, probably my fault due to lack of lubrication.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Almost everything is in order

Amazing hitch on external accessories

Only used a week and towing a 16ft trailer full of wood and concrete has very very little play and doesn't wobble as some people say in the reviews. If you have a half-inch breaker and a cheater pipe you'll be pulling the hell out of the bullet to put it together and you don't need a torque wrench. Very happy with the locking pins and all that comes with them.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some bugs

Absolute rubbish when it comes to external accessories

The processing of this clutch is abysmal. The ball attachment piece sits loosely on the vertical insert resulting in the hitch ball sitting skewed when you have a trailer on the ball. It rattles when starting and stopping as well as at intersections and bumps in the road. I will not tow a heavy trailer with this hitch. The included locking pin didn't even go through the receiver socket. It was drilled too small. It was a waste of money.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Bad instructions

Weak height lock

We got this hitch in 2013 and it worked great up until this 2019 Labor Day weekend. 2 inch ball to get my boat back and the lock didn't work. An hour later with a little oil spray and a light tap I was able to disassemble the lock so I could get my boat trailer and then reattach the camper to 2 5/16. Luckily it has two set screws so I was able to tighten them to hold the lock in place with half a roll of duct tape to bring home.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

Only works in the down position

Only works in the down position as there is a large locking mechanism on the back of the riser/lower bar that locks the balls in place. When the lock was installed in the vertical position, it pushed the hitch out so the tongue didn't enter the receiver. Once you discover it and wish to return it, the seller on this marketplace will charge 20% "REPLACE COMMISSION" AND POSTAGE. If you don't know what you need and what's right for you, you can avoid this third party and their restocking fee…

  • Amazing
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Quality Control and Design

Design requires you twist two balls together and then insert a small screw to secure. After leaving my system plugged in all winter, a small screw got stuck and came loose when I went to clean it. (A 2" diameter sphere contains this screw which then absorbs rain/snow over time). I was thrilled when I saw that I could purchase a set of spare balls. The replacement kit was not properly tested because the grub screw was not centered! After the balls were tightened, the set screw could not be…

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Fits

Attention. Threads on the hitch for a week. It fell apart and my new ranger boat crashed and the truck crashed. Threads or thin after 4 months and less than 100 miles of towing. Suddenly the balloon's strings came loose and the truck nearly tipped over. I called the company and refused a repair. This hook is dangerous. Should not buy at all, the company is horrible and I screwed up as instructed and if you buy you will regret it. If I jumped off a truck and I followed the instructions…

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • boring packaging

Not perfect. But very good

I have an 8 inch Trimax adjustable hitch. The workmanship is excellent and all the details fit together very well. to the receiver and one to attach the ball mount to the hitch. The included locks are one of the reasons I chose this setup. They have the same keys, come with 2 pairs of keys (4 keys total) and both locks work great. Very easy to install and remove. After placing the smaller end on a large 1/2" ratchet handle and placing it in a vise, I was able to apply the required 250…
