Overpriced with foam

Foam inserts are very fragile. Not the quality I expected for the price. The stitching and waistband are really pretty bad, again for the price. I would happily pay half of what I paid for them. But the quality doesn't match the price, hence only 2 stars for me. I think they will help a little.

Pros
  • Equipped with 10mm thick EVA foam insert for additional protection of the hips, thighs and tailbone; Pads are removable to customize pad areas
Cons

Removable liner, OneWheel impact protection

I bought this to cushion the fall of my OneWheel. I haven't dropped them since wearing them, but I trust they will be worth the cost and volume if I do (just a matter of time). I wear them under looser pants and am very happy with them. Where they are covered they make me sweat more but I don't mind to protect my tailbone and hips.

Pros
  • Roller Derby Impact Shorts designed to be worn comfortably and discreetly under clothing; has a handy little pocket inside for a mouthguard
Cons

Beautiful lined shorts

Protects the buttocks well. I always seem to fall on my tailbone when skating and the last fall gave me a lot of pain for weeks! Decided to order these and will probably try another brand soon. It's spandex with removable foam pockets. Unfortunately, the foam insulates the body a bit, so expect to sweat a lot in the summer! For added protection, I'll take care of the heat.

Larger size better for women

is slightly wrong. I'm a 200 lb guy, 6ft tall, I'm a size 36 but I prefer a looser fit so I wear size 38 pants/shorts. The L here doesn't really fit a 38. Hardly a 36. I would say maximum comfort fits a size 34 for a large and maximum comfort size is a 40 for an XL. The big one is too tight for me because it is constricting and just feels too tight. The padding seems suited for slalom skateboarding and maybe some park cruising. It's probably not the right gear for high-speed falls on the…

Too small and tight

I like the triple eight outfit but these shorts are too short and tight. I am in the process of returning it and exchanging for a larger size. I'm quite short so I found the little ones perfect but I could barely move in them. I used to wear padded shorts when skating so I know they have to be tight but that was too much. They are also very short which is stated in the description but I didn't expect them to be as short as they are. I usually prefer shorts with longer legs, but I'm willing to…

Not enough pads - clothes

Ordered a small for my daughter who is 10 years old and is skinny and still too small, she said it was too itchy and the pad/foam moved a lot and she felt not sure; I dropped her on the carpet as a test and landed right on her buttocks, she said, her tailbone didn't feel protected, she still felt the ground under the carpet quite hard. She has triple 8 knee pads and they are great I don't know why they aren't and they are very uncomfortable whether she was wearing them under her thinnest yoga…

Just what I needed

I bought these for snowboarding. I fractured my coccyx and sacrum and just can't do without a filling. They fit perfectly. They look like stretchy biker shorts with foam pockets. The foam is removable. I pulled it out of my hip pad. I hope to double the coccyx padding. The foam is only about 1/2 inch thick and appears to be plain foam. I love that the padding is over the tailbone to protect my sacrum. They fit easily under my snowboard pants. And they're comfortable too. I can move around in it
