Great, but dressed quickly.

I really liked these pads when I first received them. I use them for quad biking. I washed them twice and the velcro was already torn and the material was torn in 2 places. I'll fix them, so don't worry! I only wish they had lasted longer before I had to put them back together.

Great protection for city riding

They are great for street riding. I am replacing my old insoles with new XL ones because my hips have grown and the L size is too tight. I'm a 6'1" man and weigh 200 pounds. If you skate the street you can calculate the jump etc. These rubbers allow you to fall, get up and stay in the game without a single scratch.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Poor Fit - Protective Gear

I measured my knee and found it to be in the range for XL pads. Why doesn't the bottom strap have elasticity like the top strap, nor velcro?! The pads fit well with no straps but it's a real pain. Large pads don't exist so I'll have to grapple with that, but would an extra inch or two of velcro really break the bank?!?!

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • So far so good

Poor fit - Sport

Ordered to measure but product did not fit. Not suitable for those with a large lower leg-to-knee ratio. The instructions say to measure the widest part of the KNEE, which they did, but the pads don't work well when your shins are fuller and slimmer. Maybe a more elastic material. The current design doesn't match.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Security

Most comfortable, great protection but chose 187

Overall great fit, most comfortable lining ever. I chose Pad 187 only because of the flatter faceplate. It's a very butterfly continent and very safe. I use all of Trip 8's safety gear so these were difficult to make - generally happy with the 187, if I want an open back/bow tie I would buy this.

  • Great price

Disappointment: knee pads

I play roller derby and previously had a pair of KP Pro knee pads which were great quality and lasted four seasons. I ended up buying a new pair as the padding wears out over time. These pads have been redesigned. My new pair lasted four months. The rivets broke and the hard shell was not connected to the rest of the knee pad. I have been a fan of Triple 8 products and am disappointed in their quality. I have since switched to 187 PRO knee pads and have been happy so far. Excellent protection.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Only available in white

Very useful for boarding a kite or buggy

They saved my knees a few times when I was knocked down by my power kite and dragged across the sand while on a kite buggy. Thanks to their ergonomic shape, they sit securely and comfortably on the knee. Highly recommended for active sports where knee protection is desired. They are worth the extra cost. If you measure your knee with your leg straight and look at the size chart in the Product Description section, you should be fine. I did this and the extra large size was good.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Empty

Good protection but there are issues with velcro.

advantages: - easy to put on - very good soft protection. I fell straight to my knees from the top of the fifth foot cup with no knee injury. Cons: - After only 5 months the velcro wears out, detaching from the straps and even tearing the neoprene. This makes the pads less safe for my knees. I usually go bowling at the local park for an hour or two 3-4 days a week. If velcro wasn't a problem I would highly recommend these pads. Maybe I'll try 187 pads next time.

Pros
  • practical article
Cons
  • almost everything ok

Great for derbies: skates, skateboards and scooters

I am 4ft 11" and weigh 120 pounds. I did my second set in just over a year. I found these knee pads to be the best combination of least bulky and maximum protection for me. I have no problems with crossovers with them. My knees are well protected from many falls, which I perceive as a small silencer. I agree with the other reviewer on the fit. The matching part of the Velcro is too short for the strap that goes around the calf. A teammate suggested simply adding more Velcro to the rest of the…
