Bad design is good for marine electronics

I love the results I get with my HOOK2 Triple-Shot, BUT the transducer is about 9 inches long and hangs from the back of my boat. It is totally exposed as you move through shallow water with lots of grass and tree stumps. The whole piece is plastic, and if you backtrack or hit any structure, it breaks off too easily. A replacement costs about $150. You really need to design and provide a metal bracket to protect the converter.

I love the ease of use of this unit and the clear display, if that were the case I would give it 5 stars. But less than a month in use because the sensor broke. It sticks out too far from the back of the boat, making it very prone to cracking. what he did Not satisfied at all for this reason.

I adjusted the position level of the encoder and tried again but only saw a screen full of red dots. I thought maybe I had a kink in the
