Easy to use, each pair's status is highlighted. Tone Mode allows you to trace and troubleshoot using the included probe. Extend your battery live with a built-in Low Battery Indicator and Auto-off (12 seconds) battery saver. Unreliable, requires feature changes.

Exx. As an IT pro, I was looking for something small so I wouldn't have to lug around a large $600 device in a small tool bag. Unfortunately, there were errors in this sound/test device. I plug it into a phone or data system and sometimes it works, other times it shuts down completely or becomes unresponsive until I unplug it. I also wish it had a dedicated phone jack and a coax connector instead of a BNC security camera tester.

Works great!

As a system and network administrator, I use this tool a lot. It works exactly as intended and I couldn't be happier with it. The detachable loop saves lives and allows me to test from a wall outlet in a room to a patch panel in the main electrical panel. The connection cable and clips are in the same place as the tester itself in the travel case. I was also surprised by the battery life, it is very good. Great little tool, suitable for testing, measuring and verifying

I only need this for testing and tracking RJ-45/Cat5/6 so I can't talk about testing the coax capability. The device works as advertised and helped me quickly locate the end of the correct wire in the rat's nest demarcation room two floors below our new offices. The process would be even faster if I had a sound tracking tool that works with this device. Yeah I didn't know when I bought this. You can put the main unit in "Tone" mode and choose which pair gets the tone, then use a sniffing tool…
