Great little patch panel

Rulers will tell you that Keystone patch panels are a joke, but don't listen to them if you're building a small rack for your home, lab, or office. I chose Keystone for the following reasons: (1) I needed the freedom to switch cables and easily remap ports. (2) Not only did I need the network, I also needed the HDMI and USB ports. Tripp Lite 12-Port Keystone Blank Patch Panel

Bought to install a panel in a closet next to all my equipment. It is well made and serves its purpose. I bought some built in snap in RJ45 connectors and had no trouble snapping any of them in. They're nice and tight and take some effort to snap into place, but they definitely won't fall out. I also tried removing the coupler and was able to do it quite easily. Great product when you need a flexible keystone configuration (pass whatever is in the keystone format)

I needed a patch panel that would allow me to easily reorganize my ever-expanding ethernet cables, and while this route is more expensive than a patch panel with built-in connectors, the flexibility you get is second to none.Also if a port fails I can just replace it instead of ripping all the wires out of the normal panel.Also I install pre-terminated Cat 6 STP Ethernet cables in the rooms I have access to.For these needs So I use shielded connectors while I use regular Cat 5e+ or Cat 6…
