I chose Keystone for the following reasons: (1) I needed the freedom to switch cables and easily remap ports. (2) Not only did I need the network, I also needed the HDMI and USB ports. Punchdown panels are for 8P8C only. This was the only keystone patch panel I could find with 12 evenly spaced holes. Most panels have at least 16 ports (most of which

Tripp Lite 12-Port Keystone Blank Patch Panel

Bought to install a panel in a closet next to all my equipment. It is well made and serves its purpose. I bought some built in snap in RJ45 connectors and had no trouble snapping any of them in. Pros
  • FULLY SHIELDED KEEPS CABLES CLEAN AND ORGANIZED: Fully shielded heavy duty steel construction. The rear cable organizer organizes cables. Numbered ports for easy connection identification.
Cons
  • Not bad but...

I needed a patch panel that would allow me to easily reorganize my ever-expanding ethernet cables, and while this route is more expensive than a patch panel with built-in connectors, the flexibility you get is second to none. Also if a port fails I can just replace it instead of ripping all the wires out of the normal panel. Also I install pre-terminated Cat 6 STP Ethernet cables in the rooms I have access to.For these needs So I use shielded connectors while I use regular Cat 5e+ or Cat 6…

Pros
  • FAST, EASY INSTALLATION: Easily mounts in a 1U 19" EIA standard 2-post rack or a wall-mount rack -Housing Includes ground wire
