Waste of money for hubs

Used to connect a USB sensor. Unreliable because the connection is accidentally lost. waste of money. I used the latest FTDI drivers.

I have used and purchased many of these USB extenders and there have been many winners and many losers. I had intermittent signals and just wouldn't wake up thinking my Cat5 cable was bad and it was an extension cord. I extend the USB port from a laptop at the tech table 100-150 feet to the podium and use the USB mouse on the podium to advance my PowerPoint slides (I also have a keyboard connected). Actually works great!

Tried this tonight and so far it's been working great. I extend keyboard and stand control combined with video streaming from another device to another room. The keyboard and mouse function worked perfectly. This device is plug n play, also I was able to log into my windows 8 pc which means the driver was loaded into the PE environment. My flash drive also worked with this device. I've read quite a few reviews of other devices (ranging from cheap to inexpensive, IMO) that have been underwhelmed
